is an integrated developer, manufacturer and
distributor of branded "lifestyle" based
nutraceutical and health care products. The
Company's principals formed Barmensen in 2002 to
exploit the high demand for nutritional supplements
("nutraceuticals") and health and beauty care ("HBC")
products. Barmensen was formed in 2002, by three
co-founders who remain as executive management
today. The founders immediately began investing
significant resources in research and development of
products geared towards the sexual health niche.
Barmensen's first product, a topically applied, male
targeted sexual aid, MAXODERM®, came to market in
2003, and generated $L3M of sales based solely on a
modest test spend of a few hundred thousand dollars
on predominantly print based direct response
Today, Barmensen's first product MAXODERM® is
America's leading topical "Instant Male Enhancement"
formula on the market in both direct response and in
retail. Management believes customer satisfaction
with the product is a key driver of this
success--the repeat purchase rate of customers has
been measured at over 40% over the last 12 months.
Maxoderm® consistently falls within the top 5-10% of
sales of all nutritional supplement products sold
within Rite Aid and has quickly risen to be a best
seller within the Family Planning category at CVS.
Following on the success of Maxoderm®, Barmensen
invested significantly in research and development
to expand their product offering, particularly in
the sexual health category. Subsequently, management
rolled out Vazomyne in Q1 2005 and Vivaxa in Q2
2006, both under the Maxoderm® brand umbrella.
Barmensen's research shows that consumers today are
considering their Sexual Health to be as important
to their healthy lifestyles as any other aspect of
their health-and are considering supplementation as
they would for joint, heart health, or pain relief.
This movement is manifesting itself in retail chains
nationwide as stores are dedicating an increasing
amount of "aisle real estate" to this category -
many are even creating "Intimacy" sections in their
stores for specific products targeting this
